For most of his career, Greg Stahl has been a story teller rather than a story subject. Twice in the past several years, however, he's found himself sharing his expertise about Idaho's rivers with the Outdoor Idaho crew from Idaho Public Television.
“The Owyhee country of Southwest Idaho and Southeast Oregon and Northern Nevada is some of the most remote country in the entire United States," he told the crew during a three-day trip on Deep Creek. "It's inaccessible, inhospitable and yet a wonderful and rejuvenating place to be. Photographs don't do it justice, you have to be here to really understand the grandeur that exists in the Owyhee plateau.”
